#HerNameWasChloeHolland

We are honoured to welcome Sharon Holland to lead our Sisters Salon session this month.

Sharon Holland is the mother of Chloe Holland, who tragically lost her life to domestic suicide last year. Chloe was a victim of coercive control, and she felt compelled to take her own life due to the abuse she endured from her partner/perpetrator.

Watch #TimeToTalk

A conversation between journalists Hannah Barnes and Helen Lewis sold out in less than 24hrs

An open discussion about how best to safeguard students who express gender distress. With the publication of the Interim Cass Review and closure of the Tavistock clinic we must ensure that school policies are both compassionate and evidence based. It is our hope that Time To Talk will spark a respectful, informed discussion about the best practice and policies for our city’s schools.

The majority of children expressing gender distress are girls. This IS a feminist issue.

Put your hands up for girls

We are concerned about sexism, levels of sexual harassment, the disappearance of single sex spaces, sex-unbalanced curriculum are harming our city’s girls.

Are you a student, parent/care-giver, youth worker, teaching assistant or teacher at a Sussex school?

Read and upload your experiences and help to end sexism in schools.

Love feministing? Subscribe to our newsletter for campaigns, events & Salons

We are a collective of women who live, work or study in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex or West Sussex. We organise monthly gatherings of women and support campaigns on issues that affect us as women.
